Looks like although I thought tumblr wasn’t indexing, it is albeit maybe a little slower than some of my other blogs but here’s a hint for the search engines.

Interestingly, though I had placed a sitemap on a blog set up on a sub-path of this domain, Google crawled, but did not index the content on that blog. I then created a post on the main article that had a link to the blog in the path. Shortly after, Google indexed some of the content in the path. The value of internal links is expressed in this example. Google gave more priority to content that was linked internally from another page on the same domain than it did to inclusion in a sitemap. This same concept applies to deep linking to content in your website pages from outside sources.
I posted a response to Steve Wiideman’s challenge but blundering as I can be in the morning, I posted it in my fun blog instead of my business blog. Oops! But no harm, it got indexed by Google within the hour. It wouldn’t hurt anyone to relax a bit and see that blog anyway.
