Google Real Time Search – Is it a gimmick destined to be overrun by spammers, or is it a game changer? It could very well be a game changer if the spammers are properly repelled. I just ran a little test of Google Real Time Search, which appears in a normal Google search any time there is relevant content to your search. The window just keeps updating and you can watch the results nearly instantly. My test took about 8 to 15 seconds per Twitter post. That’s as close as anyone has come to real-time. Will spammers start making the tool unusable due to keyword stuffing and overload? If anyone has the capacity to prevent abuse of the new search feature, it’s Google. The idea that it’s a game changer cannot be ignored. It could turn traditional search and related SEO and SEM on their respective heads.

My assessment is that this has the potential to be a complete game changer, especially for those who are oriented toward gathering the most information possible during a decision making process. Could this be your customer?
