SEO Diversity Training
It seems that diversity is something that must be internalized for every SEO. We tend to get stuck in a rut. Any SEO, especially an SEO expert will tell you to “mix it up” but we all have to make a purposeful move out of the rut from time to time. As it were, introduce a little shock therapy to the process. What shocks SEO is when we start acting human instead of just trying to spam the giant database that is Google.
This is a self-imposed regimen and is nearly philosophical in its approach. You can’t really expect a database to act like a human but the one at Google expects you to act like one.

La Cresta Homes while relatively new, is at #1 on video search. Nothing seen on organic search. Homes searches seem to be nearly immune to organic video inclusions and inpenetrable.

Two Cases
Case one: Mirasol homes – The video has now taken a fairly stable position in searches for Mirasol homes and Mirasol homes for sale. This homes search has easily advanced ahead of several competitors with an organic listing instead of a video preview.
Case two: Orange County Real Estate photographers- this link just hasn’t surfaced yet. It shows up easily in a video search, but nothing notable in top 30. Orange County photographers is somewhat more competitive than Mirasol and the direct keyword isn’t there. A specific video needs to be posted.
This part, I have yet to gain any theory of application for: This represents a new experimental phase in OC SEO. The only way a video will prove valuable for marketing is successful exposure via organic web search. Often, video isn’t necessarily the first thing someone thinks about in relation to the product or information they’re looking for. For that reason, you want any marketing video to appear in organic web searches. One source showed a page one result with only 9 back links to the video but I suspect there may be other algorithms to be considered. Nevertheless, this effort begins here for the Mirasol homes for sale video I made a few days ago. A real estate video wasn’t hard to place at the top of video search, but homes don’t often seem to show organic web results.
SEO and Video
Video seems an ambiguous SEO endeavor. I’ve found little solid technique such as is easily found for organic web searches. This isn’t to say that algorithms for video aren’t guessable, but other than back links and relevant text on the video page or site, I’m pretty much in the dark as the next SEO practitioner.

I’m still in the assessment phase of what may even work or have predictable results. The types of video seem to matter a lot to Google. Youtube gets much greater attention and indexing than your own self-hosted video.
Regional SEO results and Campaigns for Keywords
Now it’s time to catch up a little on my own sites. I spent all day pushing a client keyword up to page one. Had to deal with multi-regional competition. I won a spot at the bottom of page one, which brings up my own position of #10 where I should be a little higher up based on experience.
